The problem is that we have not received our new credit cards, so I must call and also verify on when they will report this in to my credit report, right? Because in order for it show I do need to activate the card right? Any more advice on this please reply, I really appreciate it, Thanks!

You need to find out if you are a co-applicant or an authorized user.

As a co-applicant you would be financially liable for the entire outstanding balance equally to the applicant. This is called joint and several liability.

As an authorized user you would not be financially liable for the account and therefore the lender (credit card issuer) is probably not going to give you any information so be prepared for this just in case.

As to how the account will show up on your credit report it will depend on your ownership status...joint owner or authorized user.

That is true, in order for it to show up, you need to activate it.
