conclusion...

Well he finally came up to my room after a 2 hr game of monopoly and the first words out of his mouth were "I'm sorry." Then we talked, but hes not much of a talker. I dont know if he just said sorry to avoid a fight or if he meant it. we need to really work on the talking thing, but thanks for your advice everyone!

I think you are over reacting, be glad that your family gets along with your BF because in many cases they don't!! Count your lucky blessings and just look at it as, he was giving you time to sleep and feel better instead of bothering you!!

Unless you told him different he may have thought you wanted to be by yourself. Did you expect him to go running up stairs after you announced that you were going to take a bath. You should have let every one know how sick you were. When we get sick and really need someone it seems like that is the time they let us down the most. Don't be mad if you did not tell everyone you were sick. Being upset won't help anyway i am sick to and I hope that you feel real well soon. Try to stay calm and focus on getting well again.

You are overreacting a bit. He came to dinner so he obviously is into you but when you got sick he didn't know how long you were going to be. He's in the house so he didn't want to completely leave you. As far as you taking care of him...that's your choice to do so. It's not his responsibility that you go over and take care of him when he's sick, sit on the couch, etc. Guys don't usually know what to do with sickness like girls do.

Nope you have no right to be mad. What was he supposed to do while you went and took a shower? Just sit like a lump? How RUDE of you to expect him not to interact with your family. Frankly when you started getting sick you SHOULD have said "You know I'm really not feeling well and am not going to be very good company, maybe you should go and I'll give you a call later". THAT would have been the polite thing to do rather than to leave him stranded and then get pissed because he got bored waiting for Your sorry butt. Get Over yourself, you're obviously not mature enough for a relationship.

Welcome to the world of guys. Your boyfriend more than likely had no clue that you would like him to be with you. Or he may have had no clue what he could do for you.

Most guys just don't think about those things. Not because he doesn't care it has more to do with not thinking about what he could do to help you.

When this happens and you want him with you just ask him to be with you. Just say "--------" please come on upstairs with me I need you and he will. Guys just do not know how to handle sick.

So give him a break this time but make sure he knows what you want and need. Then if he does nothing you can get mad.

Stop bein selfish!! Your sick.. Chill out. He cares since he's still there. Other guys probably would've left *after* dinner was over. He'll come check on you after the games over. So don't trip!!

Just becuz u take care of him wheneva he's sick doesn't mean he has to return the fava!! Guys are waaaaaay diff. from us females wheneva it comes to things like that. We care.. It's in our nature!! Most guys would probably mess up everything and make us even sicker!! So go lay down and get better!!

There are 2 kinds of people. those who want to be pampered when they are sick and those who want to be alone. If you are feeling gross perhaps he thinks you should be alone in that state.
Besides you don't want to come off as clingy which would be sure to chase him away. When your emotions settle have a talk with him using i statements, express that need to be takin care of to him. Don't hang on to anger and resentment it leads to the destruction of the very fragile thing which is the relationship you ultimately want to create.

Would u rather have him just totally leave? Then you would really have something to be pissed about. Guys are usually dense and you have to spell it out for them. Go down there and tell him if you want him to help you.

Don't play coy, if you don't let someone know what you want then you have no one to blame but yourself. I don't think you really have anything to be mad about. Actually you are lucky, it sounds like you have a boyfriend that your family likes. I wouldnt go too hard on him.

I think you may be overreacting, because you aren't feeling so good. He might be downstairs because he figures you need time to rest right now. Take this time to take a nap. I'm sure he will ask for you tonight or even tomorrow morning. Get well soon!

yes i do think you are over reacting a bit, It is a girls nature to Nurture men when theyre ill, its our mothering instinct, But to expect a male to do this for us is like trying to draw blood from a stone!
I understand that you want him to be with you and look after you, but whats stopping you from joining in the game or even sitting in the same room as them?
