Two ways to make great crispy bacon:

1. Cover a microwave safe plate with paper towels. Place bacon strips side by side on top and cover them with more paper towels. Microwave on High, one minute for each strip. You can usually fit 5 strips on a plate.

2. Using a cold frying pan, place the bacon in the pan then turn up the heat to high. The bacon will fry up and remain flat yet crispy. Drain on a paper towel.

Place in single layer on 2 paper towels. Put single paper towel on top. Cook in microwave. Cook on high and set for 3 min. per 5 slices of bacon. Check and continue to cook in 20 sec. increments until it looks like you like it. This is wonderful bacon. The towels soak up the excess grease. Be very careful when removing, bacon and towels will be very hot.

Use a cookie sheet that has been lightly sprayed with a non-stick cooking spray. Put in the oven at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. Comes out perfect and evenly cooked!

My favorite way is in the microwave -
Cover a paper plate with bacon - It's ok to slightly over lap the strips, but I usually cut them in 1/2 (not the long way) Place another paper plate over it, so it is like a dome. You may need to experiment with your microwave, mine is 2 mins. The bacon cooks in it's own grease - quick bacon and quick cleanup - the micro doesn't get messy either

Use your broiler pan and cook the bacon under the broiler. The fat drips off and it's the best. Watch it diligently, though. Microwaving is delish, but can be too crisp and hard.

If I am cooking for just 2 of us, then I use the cast iron griddle. If I am cooking for 4 or more, then I bake it in the oven, 10-20 min on 350.

Cast iron skillet, medium-low heat. Cooking it any other way is blasphemy.
