My son is 28 months. Following a 24 hour bug of a minor cold. He has vomit a few times now for two days... do you have any advice? Im a new mom and nervous wreck.... he has not vomit since he was an infant when he use to spit up...

In the last 2 days Ive fed him cereal, bananas, baby food jars and juice. He's vomit half of his meals. No milk as two nights ago he threw up his milk ..

What is toddler tummy and why is this happening to him.

Meanwhile he is acting like a normal toddler. He is happy and playing. He does cry after he vomits but I hug him and tell its ok and clean him up. Although he has requested to rest and lay down more often I believe due to tummy aches?

Theres a bad bug going around.

My son's been sick too.

Doc put him on the BRAT diet.
Bananas
Rice
Applesauce
Toast

These are the only things he can have , and Pedialyte.

Toddler tummy is something else, it refers to how toddlers little tummies stick out because they don't yet have the muscle strength and control to hold their tummies in. So you don't treat that, it's normal and as they get older they get a flatter tummy.

As for the stomach bug, he just needs another day or so to get better. Don't make him eat, just give him small amounts of what they call clear fluids. They aren't really clear though, things like Pedialyte, white grape juice, jello. Once he starts keeping them down, give him some applesauce, then some bananas. Follow the BRAT diet, Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. Hope he feels better soon.

My 2 yr old just went through the same thing. Just keep him well hydrated. as far as food I gave her roman noodles but I left a lot of water on it to make some broth. As long as he's drinking plenty of fluids and is using the potty well or 6-8 wet diapers than he's fine because that's what the doc will tell you but if it's goes over a week than i suggest a doc. Good luck and I hope he gets well soon. God Bless

This must be some sort of a bug. The most important thing is to keep him hydrated. Make sure you give him pedialyte. Dehydration can cause big problems. I would take him to the doctor if it doesn't go away soon. Hope he feels better soon :)

IF IT KEEPS UP TAKE HIM TO THE DOCTORS, YOU DON'T WANT HIM TO DEHYDRATE. TRY GIVING HIM WATER, AND SOUP. BUT DO CALL THE DOCTOR.
