Can you use regular cake mixes in this oven? Can you bake the break and bake cookies in here too? This oven is electric with no lightbulb. Thank you for any input!!

I bought my daughter an easy bake oven last year and was completely shocked at the price of replacement mixes. It was then that I tried using the regular cake mix and greatly pleased to find out that it worked perfectly fine. As far as cookie mixes go, I haven't tried this but I don't see why it would be any different.

I don't know about the "bake and break" cookies if they can be used in the easy bake oven. I do know that you can use regular cake mixes and cookie dough in them. I used to use them as a kid in mine. I remember with my dad, making the cookie dough and stuff and sitting there for hours making cookies and cakes in the oven. Mind you this was one of the older ovens so I would guess that you can use them in the new ones.

I'd imagine that you could, because if I recall you can bake all the easy bake mixes in a regular oven at like 375 or something like that. So you'd think that you could reverse that. Give it a try.

The cookie dough sounds like it would be really good, maybe flatten it a bit -- aren't those chunks kind of thick?

No, I think you have to use the mixes they give you. If you are out, go to Toys r Us
