If you are married, did you wait? If you are not married, are you waiting?

My guess is that it's gonna be about 80%-20% for the no wait. That puts me--proudly--in the waited minority.

I'm happily married. I waited without the use of a right hand, too, bad liberal. It wasn't terribly tough, either, you just find a good girl and the the rest is cake.

I used to be all for waiting until marriage to have sex. If you asked me, I would have advised you to wait till marriage, and not have premarital sex under ANY circumstances. But now, I'm not so sure that premarital sex is such a big deal. I mean, if two consenting adults decide to engage in sexual intercourse without being married, they are really not hurting anyone. Well, I guess you could rationalize that they are hurting each other.

Oh well. Let us all just use good judgment.

Would you marry someone you have never met? Would you fall in love with someone you have never spoken to? Would you spend the rest of your life with someone who you dont really know??? The logical answer to all these questions is NO. It is the same with sex it is unadvisable to marry someone you dont know sexually because like it or not sex is a very important part of a healthy relationship... you can love someone intellectually but hate them physically or sexually.. It is better to know someone in all ways possible before you promise to spend the rest of your life with them. I dont waste my time wating because I know that love can be diminished or lost if you are sexually incompatible with another person, so to marry them before knowing them sexually could end in disaster.

My last relationship ended that way, I loved him mentally, emotionally, but physically he just wasnt compatible with my needs.... If I had of waited to have sex and married him based on intellectual love alone I would be a divorcee right now. Good thing I took him for a test drive eh?? LOL

PS In response to the post by "Nightshade" just because someone doesnt wait to get married to have sex doesnt make them a whore you stereotyping, ignorant shite.

Heck no. Sex is a HUGE part of any relationship, especially marriage. As the saying goes...you gotta try on the pants before you buy them! For those more in tune with the saying "no need to buy the cow if the milk is free," wouldn't you want to at least taste the milk before you bought the cow???

Nope, glad I didn't wait. I would have married someone whom I was sexually incompatible with. I am now in a fullfilling happy marriage.
EDIT: Night Shade, you make some mighty big assumptions with that tiny brain of yours, is it lonely up there on your self righteous high horse?

Well considering right-wing religious arrogant people enjoy denying civil rights to the GLBT community, NO I did NOT wait for sex before marriage because they feel they have the market cornered on the definition of "marriage" and deny others the same. Hypocrisy to the max.

I'm a lesbian. Since I can't get married, I'd still be waiting, which is really not an option considering the state of the gay marriage battle in the US.

Yes, my husband and i waited. We have been married for almost 32 years now, and are grateful that we waited. God's ways are always best!

Wedlock is irrelevant. the only thing that should concern you is if you love the person. If you're waiting for any other reason, you're only depriving yourself of a normal, healthy, biological function because some primitive goat herders said it was wrong.
