Help with translating a Greek word into English?

What is the English equivalent of the greek word "achropathia" - a medical term relating to an eye disease. What is the English word for this disease/problem?

it's the same word. achropathia

A-is without
chro-is color
pathia-disease/disease condition

So, it would be a disease or condition where the eye (I'm assuming the iris--another Greek word) isn't colored. I don't know if it makes the eye colorless, or if somebody is born without colored irises.

I'm no doctor, but I thought you might have meant "acropathia" which means that something is wrong around the edges (Acros = edge, as in "acrophobia", commonly called fear of heights, but which really means "fear of edges".) "Pathia" just means "something (bad) is happening".

"Acropathia" seems to have something to do with ulceration or withering of toes and fingers.

Now, of course, that I read others' input, I can see that "a" (not) "chro" (color) "pathia" (something bad's happening) makes a lot of sense. Perhaps we call it color blindness. It could be the kind where you see no color at all, just black and white, as opposed to the more common kinds where you don't see the difference between certain colors (like green and red).
