Some people say it's muscle because I play soccer and do taekwondo, but I think differently and want to lose some of the fat from my thighs. What should I do to lose it?? I do taekwondo Monday- Saturday and ride the bike and swim (to get ready for a triatholon) on Sundays. I'm not the healthiest eater so what else can I do??

1st, the bad news. It is not possible to spot reduce fat. The extra pounds will peel off in the order you packed them on, last on is first off.

The good news is you already work out plenty so you've established some healthy habits. If you don't eat great that is the 1st place to start. Diet is the key to everything - weight loss or building muscle. Cut out the sodas, prepackaged snack food, and fast food. Eat breakfast every day, and shoot for 5-6 small meals to keep your metabolism stoked all day.

Finally, I advocate adding in some strength/weight training into your routine. It looks like most of what you do is cardio focused (never taken a martial art, so I don't know how much stregth training happens, but I imagine it's not huge amounts), and too much cardio will actually cause you to catabolize (eat) lean muscle for energy.

Lean muscle actually requires energy at rest (vs. fat, which just sits there), so building a few pounds of the wonderful stuff will help you burn calories when you aren't working out. It's also great for the insides (lots of connective tissues and organs are muscle and benefit), energy levels, etc.

there's your answer- eat healthier! Try to drink more water AND continue swimming through it!!. I have muscular legs as well and swimming is great for lengthening.Consider adding some pilates or ballet training,dynamic cross directional lunges slim and strengthen your inner thighs balancing the look (and size)of your quads nicely.

Eat some yogurts and drink lots of water. It helps make your leggs slim while they are still muscular. Stay away from Mc Donalds and all burgers and fries. Grilled food also can cause fat so stay away from that too. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
