King..is it because the prince comes for money aka daddy's money and the King is self made man that does put up with your foolishness..

That's an interesting observation... I think the "Prince Charming" came from fairy tales, so that's how it got stuck in popular culture. I think girls are just as happy with a King. I know I would be ;)
Pretty much Prince Charming or King Charming both have to be gentleman, money never hurts, need to respect the girl, be sweet, etc. and they're good to go.

With a prince charming you still get a feeling of excitement and a little risk... but not so much you feel unsafe... with a king your whole life is already in line and secure... Where is the fun in that?
