I started drinking caffeine as a last hope in preventing migraines (by drinking it everyday so i dont go into a withdrawal state and also constricting my blood vessels thus preventing migraines). The only problem is, ive noticed an increase in anxiety, and im having lots of trouble breathing (I cant get a breath of freash air no matter how hard I breath in).

Is this bad? Would it be better to suffer once a week migraines? Is the coffee doing me more bad than good? Im not even sure...

according to health studies caffeine is bad for you becasue it is said to cause hypertension and nervousness but if it is drank in moderation there is no harm done. from reading your story i think you have become addicted to caffeine the best thing for you to probably is ween yourself from the cofes and cappucinos and other caffeine containing beverages. If the migraines don't begin to subside after about a week or two see your doctor and ask for a prescription to help you break the dependancy.

Yes, I drink it everyday and still get migraines so it won't work. I do get withdrawals bad for 2 weeks when I stop. I drink very little water and get dehydration headaches and have trouble doing number 2 due to the caffeine and dehydration. It also kills my stomach ulcer! Water makes me pee every two seconds because I am unaccustomed to drinking it often and I am a teacher who can't leave the room that often! I am kinda stuck and trying to train my body to drink less caffeine than water. Please don't get to where I am. Drink lots and lots of water-move away from the caffeine. Migraines will come anyway. I promise! Be healthy. Good luck.

You can't breathe... and you suffer anxiety... and you wonder if this is bad? Not to mention the other side effects of caffeine, such as high blood pressure, nervousness, reduced sleep effectiveness...
Perhaps the problem -is- caffeine (and stress, or other factors). Ask your doctor.

caffeine is addictive and causes dependence on it. do you want some drug controling you? heck no. my sister used to get very bad migraines and we tried drugs and all. Instead of finding ways to get by, go to the root of the problem. we found that my sister got migraines every time she had P.E. but the cause was all of the perfumes and smells in the locker rooms. Find out what causes your migraines and go from there instead of forming bad drug habits. caffeine is not good for you.

Drinking too much caffeine is not good for you because you will have palpitations,headache and difficulty going to sleep.Aside from that, it is a gastric stimulant not good if you have some gastrointestinal problems.

if you are having trouble breathing you should stop drinking coffee. talk to your doctor about it. they can help you find a medicine instead that will help you instead of drinking coffee everyday. you don't have to suffer migraines if you find a medicine prescribtion from your doctor. if there is not a prescribtion you make the choice. if it were me i'd rather go through a migraine that prevent my breathing. that's just me . . . hope you feel better.

It's just your metabolism. I've been drinking coffee nearly every day for the past 30+ years with no ill effects.

caffeine is bad for everyone in a small way, but i wouldn't take your question here, consult your local GP

well the coffee is bad if u drink it every single day you really shouldn't do it because it will cause another problem but if u have it like 2 times a week it will be ok but every day it can do somethings to you and make somethings difficult for u.

Its doing more harm than good, drink lots of fresh water and eat lots of veggies, fruit. keep your fat low. check with a doctor about the migranes.
