I'm seeing someone long distant, he called me but I was busy so didn't answer, bout 40mins later, I sent him a text saying "Hey, Call me. x" And I sent that text bout 8 hours ago and he hasn't called me. What's worse, I saw that he was online on MSN messenger and he didn't even send me a message. I know he got that text message, I'm supposed to be going down to see him on 19th Jan, thinking bout cancelling the whole thing to gain more respect maybe. What's he playing at? Does he want to be in control?! If he wasn't interested, he wouldn't have called me earlier on!.

Soz guys, but I don't hate men, it was to get your attention. Anywayz, he hardly calls me, he waits like, 3/4 days to get in touch and tells me he'll call, then doesn't. that's why I didn't answer. I feel that if I tell him what's on my mind, he'll think I'm insecure! or over-reacting!

I think you should communicate your feelings to him. You should both be mature enough to stop the who calls who first games. If you are dying to hear his voice, call. Leave a sweet message to let him know that you were thinking about him. See what comes back. I am in a long distance relationship and in my opinion absence makes the heart grow fonder. That foundation has to be there first. You should be building the foundation while away on the phone and computer. You are not going to gain respect by canceling your trip without letting him know how you feel. Put it all out there and see how he responds. I agree that because you saw him signed in does not mean anything, he could have been away from the computer and just signed in. Communication is the key to making a relationship last. He might be trying to play it cool because he is not sure. Open up to him and hopefully he will do the same. If not, life is to short to be unhappy. This stage in the relationship is the perfect time to be who you are. If you bring it up and he feels like your being a drama queen that will let you know that you cannot be free to express yourself with him. Good luck!!

He's playing you dear. Some men (and women) have a need to always be center stage. You hit the nail on the head when you said "Does he want to be in control?". That's exactly what he wants. He's not satisfied with one relationship when he can have two or three women waiting for his call.
Cancel the Jan. 19 visit. Tell him that you have too many things to take care of at home and want a raincheck. Then keep him guessing by not answering his messages. If you don't hear from him again you're lucky. If you do hear from him make sure that you are in control of the situation, not him. You are NOT over-reacting. You deserve better.

Maybe his busy. Heck, I have my messenger running all day, but I'm not always there. Maybe he had something to tell you earlier, like "Hey if you want to chat, chat now because I'll be busier later." But since you too were BUSY you guys lost a chance. Give him a chance, just ask him why he didn't talk to you before canceling anything.

I have never been able to make a long distance relationship work for me, it does not surprise me to see you having problems, I hope you can settle them soon. Good luck.

Sounds like you should find someone else. spend some time doing things on your own that you enjoy, then you won't be so dependent on others...
