Ok so my son just turned 1 like a week ago. But for the past month whenever he goes the the bathroom wether its poop or pee, if i dont get to him within like 5 mins of him goin he takes his diaper off. It happens everytime except for in the middle of the night, or if we are somewhere and he has clothes on. He doesnt like to wear clothes at home he screams till we take them off and he has even started taking them off himself. Im just wondering when we could start potty trainin him. My mom thinks that i could go ahead and start if he is takin his diapers off. But i would like the opinion of other people as well.

If he is taking off his diaper go ahead and start. Our youngest did this and he potty trained very quickly. It was amazing. Just get a potty chair and talk to him about it. Let him sit on it with his clothes on if he wants just to get used to it. Take him in with you to the bathroom and have him try it out. If something happens then praise him and make a big deal. It doesn't hurt to give a few treats. Like we always gave one m & m for sitting on the potty and 2 m&m's for going potty.

Oh for sure... go ahead and start to potty train him. He's obviously uncomfortable with a dirty diaper..which is (what I've heard) the first step of a baby who's ready for the "next step," so to speak. Give it a try..there's no harm in that.

Its time to potty train!! You're lucky!
My first two where like that before the age of one. They hated a dirty diaper. My one daughter would even try to change herself.

I'm guessing kids who train early is due to the parents changing the child as soon as they dirty their diaper. We did, maybe thats the key to early potty training?

There is no reason why you cannot try to start potty training him. Be aware it may not work, but if he is ready why not give him the chance? My daughter did the same thing when she was a little old...it lasted about 2 weeks then she stopped. I guess she got used to it...

I guess it wouldn't hurt to try. Most babies wouldn't be ready at that age, but you never know. If your son doesn't seem interested when you start trying, if he resists it or gets mad or seems scared, simply back off and wait until he's closer to 2. You won't be doing him any harm as long as you aren't forcing him.

my children used to do that also but it didn't make training then any easier I say if he knows and can tell you when he has to go before he has to go then ya go for it but if he takes it off just because he does not want to be wet then thats still up to you but if he just turned one a week ago you can introduce it I know I did good luck
