Sure, as soon as a muslim was elected to congressional office.

I think it's interesting that he chose to be sworn in with Thomas Jefferson's personal copy.

I think it's a great gesture towards freedom of religion; the US is always showing the good face to Muslims while Muslims in the Middle East pray that the US will die.
I trust that othe Muslims will see the US in a new light and countries like Saudi Arabia will open it's gates to religious freedom.

With all of the corruption in the congress, it doesn't matter what book is used to swear them in with. The Representatives should always put the people first, the book doest matter. It doesn't matter what book is used, or if they use a book at all. What I'm concerned about is that they love the people.

As long as he doesn't submit a bill requesting all females to wear burkas, walk 15 paces behind men, and public floggings for infractions of Shari'aa Law...I can really care less. More power to the brother. He looks shady though, like any politician. Trust and believe he has an agenda.

Yes. I actually welcome the idea that someone was elected who doesn't believe the Christian Bible is the be all, end all. I wonder if Jewish officials can be sworn in using the Torah, or is that offensive to you too?

nope. I can't believe the Government is allowing this. Islam is a very violent religion. Christianity is the true religon, all other's are cults and of Satan.
