Hi Lisa,
It seems to me that your Heart is in the right Place, and I think you are smart, because you ask a good Question, but don't worry,to be smart is just one Part,it is nice to be kind, polite, and sweet to others, the Rest will take Care of its Own.I wish you a Happy New Year, and I wish that all your Wishes come true,Karl

Actually, before you resort to books...check out some of the websites online that claim to boost your concentration and IQ. Don't go for the one's that charge you money, but there really are some activities on free sites that can help focus your brain a little better.
The poster above is correct, also. Don't think that because you didn't score as high as you hoped on one test, that your IQ isn't up to your standards. Take a few of them. After a while, you learn the problem solving skills you need to take other IQ tests, and do much better.

Mental exercises. Any books that help develop and continue the use of your spatial/pattern/mathematical abilities will help flex the use of your mind more. But all in all, IQ isn't an accurate way to show how smart anyone is or really mean much, depending on how one applies oneself in the real world.
And the whole thing about Mozart raising IQ is on shaky grounds; apparently it only raises IQ while you are listening to his music and maybe about 20 minutes afterwards.

There are herbal remedies at the local nutrition store. Focus Factor, for instance. Also eating fish with Omega-3 will help increase your memory and seaweed, maybe Chinese restaurant perhaps, is brain food and if it tastes bad there is a seaweed capsule you can take.

Well, there is a technique that you can use to connect together the nerves in your brain to help you achieve a clear mind and help you think better
here it is:
first, take a pencil and paper
Next, Start drawing a figure 8 and just keep going and going and occasionally switch from one way to another. I know it sounds stupid but it works and is psychologically approved

Like any test, an IQ test is not truly representative of intelligence and can be mastered simply by practice. Take as many of them as possible.

DMAE can help. Its a supplement. Buy it in liquid form and it is really cheap. Search for DMAE H3. The only side effect can be insomnia if you take it too late in the day or take too much.
