Regardless of what's in the Bisquick box, a cup equals eight ounces, so one and a half cups is twelve ounces.

A cup of flour, 8 oz.by volume, actually weighs only about 4 oz. Bisquick is in the same range but it's best to weigh a cup to check it exactly. The weight of flour can vary by volume. Bakeries never measure their ingredients, they weigh them with very accurate scales. We would all have better results if baking recipes used weight measurements instead of volume as these recipes are really chemical formulas and measuring by weight is much more accurate.

8 ounces in a cup. 1/2 cup is 4 ounces. 8 ounces plus 4 ounces equals 12 ounces.
