Tough it out. It really isn't that bad. I never understood why people hated getting shots. A normal pinch is worse than a shot.

Sally,
I'm not going to say it won't hurt, because if you cut your finger it hurts. Just remember it will all be over in a flash. It is a very quick procedure and once the needle is in it will hurt less. One thing I would like you to think about though, is this, you are having the blood test for a reason and a little pain for an instant can give you, and your mum a great deal of relief if the result is a good one. And the pain from the needle probably isn't going to be as bad as that sunburn you got last summer. I hopr this helps .

Don't worry! I had to get a blood test to see if I had mono. Make sure you get your blood pumping before you go because it makes it go faster because your blood comes out really quickly. I'm only 10 so there is no need to worry! Just relax your arm and look away from it when it is going in. Squeezing someones hand helps too. I felt the same way! But after you do, the person doing it will give you a treat or suggest getting a treat really soon because from taking blood out, it gives you really low blood sugar!

Yes, it will hurt, but not too much. Try to think of something else, don't tense up, look away and soon it will be finished and you'll wonder why you were worried in the first place. If you get all worked up, it will just make you tense and then it will seem like it hurts more. Just be brave and tell yourself "I can do this! My husband is a medical technologist and draws blood everyday. I've even let him draw mine. Most phlebotomists (blood drawers) are very good at what they do and should help you relax.
Good luck!

It feels like a little pinch, takes only a few seconds, they put something like a cut rubberband, but a little bigger, on your upper arm, youll be asked to pump your hand (squeeze and make a fist then release), they ll find a vain stick the needle in, release the rubberband, they ll take the needle out and put a bandaid on you.

Don't worry about it. It hurts for one second. If it really bothers you don't look at the needle and think of something else. Good luck!

It's just a little bit hurt and it will not take long time.
It will be better (or not hurt much) if u r not taut your body or muscle while they taking your blood.
Don't worry...you will be fine (^_^)
