Like the ones power companies use to generate electricity for the masses. And how much electricity does that generate (how many houses could one power)?

a little more than a cruise missile...around 4 million and make enough power at peak wind to supply 40,000 people with non-heat elect. (does not include industrial or commercial use)

for electricity or mechanical?
how much energy, KW, if electricity?
how much force or moment, if mechanical?

here is a link to the biggest company in windmill engineering (over 12000 employes, millions KW installed worlwide, millions of houses use windpower electricity with its technologies).

For electricity generation you can estimate around 1500 - 2000 euros (1800 to 2400 US$) per KW, it is obviously a very rough estimation. This cost is taken from public information regarding actual turn-key plants. In Spain, the cost for one small plant i know is higher, 2700 euros/KW, it serves all electricity needs for one village with 5000 inhabitants, but this project is small and this cost included land, bank operation settlement, taxes, etc.

Banks use to give fair credits for such investments as far as electricity operators will buy its electricity.

The biggest plant in the world (in Victoria, Australia) belongs to this company, 238000 Keuros, serves 192 MW for 143000 houses.
