It would be very difficult. It is a complicated differential diagnosis. Knowing you have depressive episodes is easy to recognize, but manic episodes can manifest in many forms, risky behavior, rage, acting out sexually, spending money irresponsibly. In addition bi-polar comes in different forms. Primary bi-polar is usually longer episodes of depression and mania and can go into psychosis (hearing voices, delusions, etc.) while bi-polar 2 may be a rapid fire back and forth between depression and mania.

Most bi-polars do not recognize mania...they think they are doing great...it takes substantiation from others who know them in most cases.

Regardless, there is little sense in diagnosing yourself. You cannot be cured of bi-polar. Therapy helps but you must be on medication, usually two or three, including a mood stabilizer. It takes a lot of work for you and your doctor to arrive at the combination that works best for you.

There are many symptoms of bipolar . . You can go online and research the symptoms . . such as a manic cycle in which you don't sleep, talk really fast, racing thoughts, no appetite, impulsive behavior, irritability, etc. Depressive is the other side, too much sleep or you can't sleep at all , feelings of hopelessness, use of drugs & alcohol, etc. etc. Also bi-polar tends to run in families and there are different types of bipolar. To be sure though you'd have to be diagnosed by a doctor.

No. Only a Psychiatrist who went to school for 7 years to become a doctor and then went back to school to become a Psychiatrist can diagnosis bipolar disorder. And if you do have it it absolutely need to be treated with medications and therapy. Many people who think they have bipolar are actually clinicly depressed or have a personality disorder both which must be treated with therapry and medication.

Even if it was possible to tell with out a Psychiatrist it doesn't do you any good with out treatment.
