There is absolutely a proper way. You have to determine the optimal viewing distance and angle for the screen. Then you have to determine the optimum angle and distance for all the speakers in your particular room. Then you will need to tune the speakers for sound quality. It can get very complex.

Depends on what components you have, if your TV is wall-mounted, & will there be surround sound? If using surround sound, is the room pre-wired for it?
Basically, all you have to do is hook up all your components while showing as little wire as possible. Sounds simple but can be a tough job.

using all the right connections so evrything looks clean in the back. on my reciever and speakers i used all gold plated bannana plugs wich give optimal performance and a clean look. use nice cables and cable ties and good speaker cable and your good.
