I met this guy at thanksgiving. We have been seeing eachother since, but he has never officially asked me out. We have never been outside his apartment. He is 13 years older than me and he has a 5 year old kid. I am only 18. I do everything. He has no car so I have to drive to see him everynight. it seems all we do is fool around. We never talk about anything other than "how was your day". What should I do?

He sounds like a total loser. Why in the world would you settle for someone like that? Is your self-esteem really that low? Break up with him!

Let me ask you this, are you happy with the situation? I mean it doesn't really sound like you enjoy the situation. Maybe you should ask him out some time. Then you will know if the situatuion is really deeper than what you are thinking. Age is just a number and maybe he just really doesnt have the money, you say you do everything. If you are willing to make this "so called'' relationship work then-work it girl. If you have one ounce of love for him try to put some effort into and let him know how you feel.
That way if the sh*t goes sour you can at least say you did try. and you can just walk away. You are only 18 dont try to attach your self to this guy it will only lead to heartach. Especially if you don't have any kids. You kinda got a messed up role to play: you should be with someone who is willing to treat you the way you want to be treated. And depending on how may relationships you've been in and how many times you've been in love you might not even know how you want a guy to treat you. Their is no such thing as the perfect man just the perfect man for you and your standards..
Girl I wish you all the luck in the world you got a tuff decision to make.
Just remember this if nothing else..
"No one knows what you need but you. So stand up for it, and let others know what it is."
You should always be number 1, (or as my girl New York would say from Flavor of Love) you gotta be the HBIC.
Head B*tch In Charge...
Much love..

Move on and find someone better. Usually when a girl goes out with an older guy its because they like to be with older men and older men put more into a relationship. This guy sounds like a loser, and the only thing he has to offer is the fact that he's older. Find yourself a guy that can at least take care of himself. ie. has a car...
And you would probably have more to talk about with someone closer to your age. There's an old proverb that says a man should date a girl 1/2 his age plus 7, it's seemed to work pretty well for me. For you it would be your age minus 7 times 2=22.
Dating and older guy...have fun!
Dating a loser... get rid of him...quick!

Drop him. He's no good. It doesn't look like he wants to do anything but fool around with a girl who could almost be his child. I doubt you'd ever be in any danger of being mommy to his 5-year old, but the situation is just creepy. You don't know where he's been or who else he is taking advantage of. Get out now!

Dump that guy right away. By the age of 31, he should be pulling in $100k and drive a sportscar, if he's looking to get with girls over a decade younger than him.

i think that you should get right to the point and ask yourself. is all this worth my troubles? if the answer is truthfully yes. then i think that you should probably talk to him about the whole transportation and just goofing around situation. also u should get to know him and just ask each other questions. if the answer is no then i think you should talk to him and just say "I'd rather be friends for awhile just to get to know you a little better" and then see how think work out down the road.

OMG!!!! Girl! You need an education in men!! He is using you, for sure! He is too old for you! "dating" is just that, dating, going out, having fun, getting to know one another, being out socially, movies, dinner, beach, walks in the sunset, shopping, etc. - you need to set your standards a bit higher, no, much higher! Do not see him again ~ drop him like a bad habit before he becomes one! ha. I like that. Hope that helps. Please get the book "Dateable" and read it! ok? Good girl! Now go home and bake some cookies!

u deserve better. I hate to say it but he is using you and you shouldn't spend your time on him. This relationship is easy for him because he has no responsibility and doesnt care about you or your feelings. It isn't worth it when he is weighing you down and you still have your whole life in front of you. I know its hard, but you have to break it off with him.

Dump him. This is a situation that can go nowhere...and it will get old FAST. Actually being that you're asking the question....if you think about it, it's gotten old already.
