I personally prefer Holland America, but to choose, Carnival, they have a good Kids/Teens program, ( i should know) and lots of fun for you guys, its pretty clean, and the people and fairly friendly!

I've been on a few cruises and found Carnival to have the most fun things going on while the others didn't offer quite so much fun activities. They say the food is better on RC, but I really don't think so. I'd go for the price. Think about heading out of San Juan so you won't have so many days at sea. My opinion, I'd rather be on an island during the day and at sea at night, not during the day waiting for the next day so you can get off the ship. I've also been in an assortment of cabins, and would suggest a mid-ship cabin, but it can be on the bottom floor or any floor, but a window is a lot nicer then no windows. If you have a bunch of days at sea...a balcony room is worth the extra bucks. You feel like you have your own private ship when it's sailing around, otherwise, just go for the cheapest cabin with a window, but try to get it in the middle of the ship.

I usually find some great deals on this site:

iBtraveling.com

They post all up to date travel deals there from a bunch of well known sites.

Good luck and have fun!

I have been on two cruises in the last 4 months. 1 RC(Enchanment of the Sea) and 1 Carnival(Immagination). I have to say I liked the layout of the Carnival ship better. The room seemed to have a little more space and was layed out better. The bathroom was way better on Carnival.
The Casino, bars, and pool deck were also better on Carnival.
However, RC won out on the food(way better), and the service(far far superior). Believe me, a week eating on the ship and you will wish you had the best food. Carnival the drinks were chincy and expensive. RC was much better there. The entire dinner staff on RC put Carnival to shame.
Example, on Carnival at dinner, the waiter did not take a drink order until after hor deourves came. By the time we got our wine desert was beng served. This was a consistent thing every night.
Take RC food and staff and put it on a Carnival ship and you would have a great time!

I've been on 2 Carnival cruises, 3 Royal Caribbean cruises and 1 Celebrity cruise. Celebrity was by far the best, but between RC and Carnvial I would choose RC ANY DAY. The food is way better, the ships are classier and offer more, in my opinion. The last RC cruise I went on was Voyager of the Seas. They have an ice skating rink, rock climbing wall, Johnny Rockets (free), full-size basketball court, miniature golf and all of the other things a cruise ship normally have.

Try it so at least you can compare for yourself.

Royal Caribbean is my very own in demand. I even have been on Carnival cruises additionally yet I do exactly no longer purely like the layouts of the ships besides. i think of Royal Caribbean provides an experience like no different. while you're disturbing approximately fee, Carnival would be a sprint extra low-fee, yet for me, royal caribbean's experience is nicely certainly worth the better dollar.
