I recently started dating this guy and everything was hott at first, but now it seems like I'm more interested in him than he is in me. I'm the one doing the calling and texting now. I feel like I'm the one doing everything. Am I just wasting my time? No we haven't had sex as yet, we made out but that was it, I wasn't ready to take it to the next level. Now I feel as if he's just backed off.. am I just wasting my time? Could he have lost interest because I wasn't ready to put out?

If you move in closer, it's only natural for the other person to back off. When you back off, the other person starts moving in closer. It happens all the time in casual conversations, and relationships can work like that too.

The courtship rituals of many animals involve the male and female taking turns, chasing each other back and forth. It sounds like you're doing all the chasing here, and he's doing all the running. You need to back off, and give him an opportunity to chase you. If he doesn't, you need to find someone else.

Yes that is possible- and if he has lost interest because you weren't ready to put out who needs him? Let him go.

I would stop calling and texting him. See if he contacts you. If he doesn't let him go. If he does, answer his calls and texts- be friendly and polite- but don't initiate any contact with him. Let him do the work for awhile. Then when you get together talk to him about your thoughts on sex- stick to your guns- if you aren't ready to take it to the next level don't let him pressure you. If that isn't acceptable to him then he isn't the guy you are looking for.

WOMEN: Play hard to get and a guy of any worth will be in your hip-pocket. It's sad, but it's the truth. Throwing yourselves at us make us get active in the search for what is wrong with you. And, when we find something with which we cannot live, we tend to blow off our end of the communication and support bargain.
