I don't think parents should have a choice.
And to everybody else: She already stated that she didnt have any kids. Stop bothering about it. All she wanted to know is yes or no. She was probably just showing how mad she would be by saying she would throw her kid down a flight of stairs. Not that she would actually do it. Show common knowledge people.

In my opinion, if the parents had done their job correctly they wouldn't have a daughter who was 12 and pregnant. I think they should be able to force their daughter to put the baby up for adoption (until a certain age like 16) but not force their child to have an abortion.
That is wrong on so many levels. Children can have different religious beliefs than their parents or values and morals.
If parents would just do their jobs by enforcing rules and discipline things like this wouldn't happen.

No, I do not think that they should be allowed to force an abortion on them. They did something wrong yes, but their parents are responsible for them and where were the parents when they got pregnant. They should have been better watched or the parents should have gotten them the shot. If a teenager gets pregnant it is partially the parents fault, and they should help them raise it along with the boy and his parents. If my child were that young I would adopt the baby, and I could never kill my unborn grandchild.

No we shouldnt be allowed to force a person to abort a baby no matter their age. I was 17 when I got pregnant and my parents wouldve forced me to abort the baby if they couldve... 10 years later they are the proudest grandparents ever! I see where you are coming from with your question but those cant be the only the reasons a parent can force an abortion on their child.

Maybe if parents were actually part of their kids lives and knew where they were, who they were with and what they were doing with their time 12 year olds wouldn't end up pregnant in the first place.
Maybe if our society allowed parents to actually parent and discipline their kids without fear of being put in jail for "abuse" or having their kids taken away for denying them some privilege and being presumed guilty until they prove themselves innocent then 12 year olds would not end up being morally and socially retarded.
Maybe if the good "Christians" didn't run the schools and allowed total sexual educational facts, along with birth prevention, not just abstinence to be taught, kids would be able to go out in the world with the facts and then 12 year olds would not get pregnant at all.
Prevention is the key...being proactive...not reactive.

Wow, you're asking a very controversial question! You make lots of smart statements, too, such as how everyone else has to pay for a child, if the girl can't work to support herself and that child.
To me, the answer is more aggressive supervision as a way of preventing underage girls from becoming pregnant. I'm sure you'll keep your daughter out of situations where she could be experimenting with guys, for example. Today's parents need more than ever to be parents, not their children's best friends.

i do no longer "blame" absolutely everyone for it in any respect. Teenage sexuality is thoroughly common and there is no longer something inherently incorrect with it. we are, in spite of everything, meant to start reproducing interior the teenager years. it isn't any longer to assert that i'm happy with 13 3 hundred and sixty 5 days olds having intercourse, i in my opinion experience that youthful than sixteen is merely too youthful. What I imply is which you will no longer effectual handle teen sexuality with out first accepting that it is a classic part of being human, and the extra useful the youngsters themselves understand what's occurring, the better it is going to become to cajole them to attend till they seem to be slightly older (besides as use protection responsibly while they do boost into sexually energetic). it is why finished intercourse ed classes paintings whilst abstinence-in uncomplicated terms training would not.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! As a parent you should be there for your child and help them make the best decision for them. You should never force anyone to give up their baby, that's not right and can absolutely cause some serious emotional scaring. She may be young and need direction, and god forbid she wanted this to happen (i hope not), but you cannot force her to do that. She has to make this decision and all you can do is be there for her and if she has questions, be there to answer them and let her know how hard parenting is, but you will be there for her whatever she decides.

I don't know about throwing her down a flight of stairs.
Hopefully birth control used as a preventative measure would make that unnecessary. And, frankly, if your daughter is sexually active at the age of twelve, there is quite likely something gone wrong with ones parental supervision.

You are carzy and must not love your girl !!! If you made a kid kill a life thats living in them you would do so much more mental harm to her than you could ever inmagin! You must be on something to think like that!! I get tired of people thinking that young moms / Teen moms are throwing thier lives away and are just causeing problems. I myself was a so called teen mom and my mother stood by me every min. of the way cause she LOVED ME!!! and I now have a great life and live in a nice house with a wonderful husband and my kids want for nothing! AND most important I LOVE my kids. Maybe you shouldnt be so shelfish!!!!!!!!! and LOVE your little girl
