Don't skip any meals. Especially breakfast. Skipping a meal makes your body go into starvation mode. Your metabolism slows to a crawl and your body tries to conserve as many calories as it can. Plus, you will feel more deprived and will be more likely to cave and start binging. It's MUCH healthier and more satisfying to eat several small meals per day. Take this from someone who's been on almost every fad diet there is! 5-6 small meals and 30 minutes of moderate exercise a day.

it's usually better to eat several smaller meals throughout the day rather than two large meals, especially if you are trying to loose weight or maintain a healthy weight. Eating smaller meals throughout the day is also known as "grazing".

Eating 6 smaller portions tells your body, there is lots of food, let's use it.
Eating 1 or 2 meals a day tells your body, food may be scarce, let's store it, as fat, until we REALLY need it.

Absolutely not. Your body prefers food in smaller quantities and more frequently. I do five meals a day. Breakfast and lunch should be higher in carbohydrates than the rest of the meals.
