omg i have the same exact problem! if you have had this problem for years now, it is probably a condition called keratosis pilaris. Actually, 30 percent of our population has it. Go to a dermatologist, and they'll prescribe a lotion or a body wash to help reduce the bumps. good luck.

hey...
ive got these bumps too! lol.
my sister is a nutritionist, and has read something that says "eat fresh green apples for 3 days , 5-6 times a day, also having a good meal. and lots of water."
try that. the apples are acidic which are good to cleanse the skin out. they also may be ingrown hairs. plucking 'em out can be a hassle and pain!
mine have started to slowly fade away, if they have been there sisnce childhood then they will go away. ( i think that shaving the bumps accidently once worked for me since it opened the bump, it bled a "dot amount" and its started clearing up. i think their basically blocked pores.
and..eat alot of fruit. )
another thing is that it may be you eat high cholestoral foods, which cause your blood to thicken up looking like clotty tiny bumps.
dont mess with em too much you dnt want a reaction giving you scars or summat.
we all have different skin types so be careful.
the apples are the safest way.
(dnt bother wiv the loffa bdw.)
tkcr.. gudluck!

I work in dermatology, and what you have is most likely keratosis pilaris or KP. It is very common (i have it too)and can appear on the back of the arms, cheeks and sometimes even thighs. Unfortunately, there isn't a cure for KP but, what seems to help most patients is using a body wash with salicylic acid in it. There is a kit you can use called the KP kit and it's made by Glytone-most dermatologists offices sell these kits which can help. Any rubbing or scrubbing will only make them worse. Remember to moisturize too. Hope this helped

Are they like pimples? If so use a body acne wash that you can get at any drug store. I know this may be weird but try putting toothpaste on them (not the gel kind) to reduce the redness.

hey my mums a food nutritionist and she keeps me up to date on all the pros and cons!
if its on the back of your arms it means that u have a bit too much collestorol and fat in your system.
i suggest you detoxify ur body by cutting down on the fatty foods you eat and drink lots of water. this helps to clean your kidney as well.
the bumps will gradually fade over time as your body gets rid of the fat. (im not saying your fat, its just your body has some left over and is popping out on ur skin)
exercise and eat evenly.
try to eat more green vegies and fruit!
stay healthy and you'l be fine!

i've had these same bumps ever since puberty, now at 26 they are just starting to fade away. keratosis sucks because there is no cure. DON'T PICK OR SCRATCH AT THEM! it makes it worse
