I really don't think so. I grew up being the only girl, I have 2 younger brothers. Yeah I do like doing things like fishing, hunting and other "guy" stuff but I do like to do a lot of "girl" stuff too like shopping and wearing nice clothes and makeup.

Numerous books have been written on the subject of birth order, and it's effect on personality development.

The oldest tends to be the most responsible, but sometimes has a problem with perfectionism. The middle child is the great negotiator, but may be overly sensitive to unfavorable comparisons to other people. The youngest is very charming, but can also be a bit irresponsible. An only child tends to resemble a first born.

The oldest girl is likely to have many characteristics of an oldest child, even if she was born in the middle. Given that you are the only girl, I would expect you to have many of those same traits, in addition to what could be expected, solely from your birth order.

You are probably more responsible and independent than you would be, if you had an older sister, though a younger one might be less significant.

yes because being the only boy in a family means that the boy will probably annoy his sisters and the sisters would do things to him and being the only boy means that the boy has to deal with his sisters taking a long time. On the other hand, being an only boy is good because then the boy will have an easier time talking with the opposite sex and vice versa.

I am the only girl in the family. I have four brothers. I don't act like a boy and I'm not tough at all. I'm such a girly.

yes. the only girl with all guy siblings makes the girl more tough than normal girls and can handle more stuff. a boy growing up with all sister can make him into a wimp (maybe) im not totally sure though

i think...
all boys and one girl:: that the girl will be more tough because she has to fight and deal with her bro's

all girls and one boy:: the boy will be very independent because he will be used to spending time wiht himself instead of his sisters

only child: spoiled becasue their parents spend most of their money on that one child and they dont have to share with others
