If you are talking about the Nativity story, I saw it and I thought it was very good. I saw it twice and the second time was better than the first. It showed what it was like back then and what people thought when Mary was pregnant. They really studied the times back then. They tried to make it real. I think they did a good job.

it was a very nice rendition that showed many people the reality of life inthat time. a priest at our church once asked two questions - did Mary have a dirty kitchen and do people really think that the journey while pregnant on donkey was like the CHristmas cards we get every year?!? the asnwers were yes and no respectively - like his questions and the homilies that followed - the movie showed an idea of how things very well could have bene like for them - based upon historical facts and references. some was not really accurate, but portrayed the story nicely.

It is a patched up story.
The three wise men were not three, the bible did not gave how many came, and they actually are astrologers that was why they saw the 'star.'
They came to Bethlehem first to Herod and asked him about the newborn king of the Jews...they found Jesus in a house and not in a manger because Jesus was not a baby anymore but a small child...that was why Herod ordered the killing of kids 2 years old and younger.

How can it be good or bad? Its The Nativity. Its not like there's any variation in the story. Its the exact same story as its been for 2000 years.

"The Nativity Story" is a great movie if you're already a Christian. Like the Bible it expects you to have faith in some things, so if you're looking for everything to be shown with special effects you'll be disappointed. God Bless!
