Well you mean Canadian french or Parisian french?
Either way they are like you...human. Parisian french love Canadian and American people when we visit their country they treat us very friendly. It is politics that kind of mix things up. France in general do think of America as a liberating friend in who they trust and will be loyal to. You must remember since WW2 the geopolitical map in Europe "ESP." France has changed to a population of over 10% Islamic fundamental extremist who hate the west. Because of this we got all the negative talk. It is how the fundamentalist Islamic people divide and conquer.
It is not our Allies who are the enemy it is still the Islamic extremist terrorist who are the enemies. Never get that confused.

The French are lovely people on the whole. France has good food and wine and gorgeous countryside.

The French politicians however are respected very little in this country as they expect the rest of Europe to subsidise farmers who just aren't economical. Farmers here in the UK have had to diversify - French farmers should too.

I like the French.

Their Country is Beautifull
Their Food is Beautifull
Their Women are Beautifull

I would move to France at the drop of a hat if I could afford it.

Paris is amazing

Don't know, never been to France. But I learned in French class that you should never ask for salt or anything for your food because they get offended
