Can you help me finding some good present for my bf(we are together 4 months).He has a birthday on Friday and I want to buy him something that he will like and something that is symbolic,to remind him of me.Do you think a book is a good idea???I will appreciate your help! :)

A book is an excellent idea, if he likes to read. Selecting the proper title is the hard part. Your selection should demonstrate some understanding of him, and offer him something interesting to think about.
Again, a book is a good idea, if he likes to read, and he's a thinker, like I am. Otherwise, it may seem kind of lame.

How about a picture of you? All guys appreciate Glamor Shots, although it may be too late to schedule that and get it done by Friday. How about baking him something. I know very few guys that don't' like to eat. What is his favorite beer or wine? If you don't know, how about a gift certificate to an upscale liquor store? These are just a few ideas.

I like a gift certificate to best buy or a gift certificate for some mp3's. Let him buy some meaningful music.
Music is the most romantic way to express love.
Books are good too. One of my coworkers bought me a shirt and gift certificate for borders books as my secret Santa. :-)
In all you can't go wrong with books, music or a nice shirt.

a scrap book of anything meaniful that has happened to you too as a couple, stuff he loves, and last of all leave pages black and write him a letter about how your relationship is like the scrapbook in the sense there are open pages just ready to continue your journey on
