It's not abuse. Punching your kid in the eye and throwing him down the stairs would be abuse.

It was an accident. But if you left a bruise then it was too hard no matter where you meant to hit. I think spanking once in a while, as a last resort is ok, but not hard enough to leave a bruise. And if someone would find out then you could loose him over it.

Oh, no, it isn't abuse! It is an honest mistake. Hug your son and tell him you are sorry and didn't mean to hit him on the back. That's all. Don't beat yourself up over it. Believe me, it is only a mistake. NOT abuse.

honestly hitting a kid in anyway is abuse the best way is to sit you son down talk to him like a father. listen to him im not saying your a bad father no way am i I'm just giving you advice

No, this is not and it happens to lots of parents, just get over it.
the bruise will heal in a short time.
next time make sure he doesnt move.
U are a good parent for discipline your child.

no its not abuse but i can assue you that if a doctor or a teacher were to see the bruise they would contact child protection services...

it was an acadent and it takes more then one time for them to take your child away. and if you left a bruse then you are hitting him to hard. you shouldnt spank a child when you are mad or angry. thats when you do things that you regret.
