I'm not sure if this is age-appropriate, but Zanax or Xanix (not sure how to spell it) helps with anxiety...which could be contributing to your anger problems. Have a chat with your parents and go see a doc...I'm sure they can help you find something (even if it is some sort of therapy) that could help you out. Best of luck.

Meds for young kids are not always the best answer. You are young and your body is changing. So, that would mean that your meds would need to change also. They are costly and in some bodies, do more harm than good, especially if you are not entirely honest about what you feel or how you act.

First, diagnose what you have - by a Doctor. Moms, Dads, brothers are not trained to decide what you have, but what to support you with.

Second, set reasonable goals for yourself. For example, if you have a good day, you get 15 extra minutes of video games a night. Work with your parents to make a chart and reasonable rewards.

Third - mark what you eat. Do you have a bad day after lots of sodas or breads? As the sugars in certain foods break down, it can trigger behavior/hyperactivity in children, the same as adults. That 'rush" is actually doing harm

Talk to your teacher about when you do your best, and your not so best. He or she might be able to help in the room.

OK- I'll start off telling you I'm a lot older than you. When I was a kid we didn't have ADHD or OCD. People didn't take meds to control anger. I am not advising you to go off your meds. But I think you need to know that there are other ways of managing your anger besides taking pills. You are only 12 and you may not want to take those pills all your life.

I would talk to whoever prescribed the pills for you and tell them you want to talk about ways to manage your anger besides medicating yourself. One way I can think of is by increasing your physical activity. Get outside and move. Do this until you are tired. You could ride a bike, jog, or get involved in a sport you enjoy. You should engage in this pastime to the point where you break a sweat and get out of breath every day. This causes your brain to release endorphins- your body's own "meds". In my opinion in order to be a healthy 12 year old this is a necessity.

Find a trusted adult that you can talk to about the things that make you angry, as well as the the things that make you happy or sad.

Lay off the junk food. Try to eat more fruits and vegetables. Drink 8 glasses of water a day. In order for your brain to work properly and do its job of regulating your emotions you have to feed it right.

Good luck. Let us know how things go for you.

I think you should look into therapy rather than medication. I think that a lot of people have anger problems that are emotional problems, not chemical imbalances, and even if you do find a pill that calms you down (because they are out there), you wouldn't be treating the source of your emotional problems. Unfortunately, therapy requires time, money, and effort on your part. It's not as simple as taking a pill every day, but it will be worth it in the long run. You don't want to be an angry person the rest of your life, do you?

NO, MEDICATIONS DO NOT SOLVE EVERYTHING. LEARN SELF DISCIPLINE, PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.

Too many young people today have been tagged with a title like adhd and ocd. Being medicated does NOT teach a young person how to deal with their problems.

YOUR PARENTS NEED HELP FOR ALLOWING THEIR CHILDREN TO BE SO MEDICATED. Get involved in sports, any activities that encourage you to use your mind and body and energy. You will not have time to need anger management.
You will be to tired.

How about just learning to exercise some self-control? Meds aren't always the answer.

You might. But you also need to try to control yourself. Your dad and everyone in your family can try to help but if YOU don't try then nothing will work.

This is something you should ask your mother to talk to your doctor about.
