I had gone to get a trim , And I had specified that I only wanted 1 inch taken off the ends. At that time my hair was down to my waist. The hair stylist took off at least 6 inches from the lenght of my hair. I was devestated. The owner of the salon wasn't there at the time , so after I had gotten home I gave the salon a call and the owner was finally in . I explained to her that I was a bit upset about what happened. She went to talk to her stylist who told her that my hair was was dry on the ends and she did what she felt was best, even though I had instructed her how much to take off. I explained to the owner that her stylist should not have taken such liberties. I wasn't asking for a refund or anything but just wanted to let her know that if she wanted to succeed in her business, things like this shouldn't happen.
I was an owner of a salon years later and made sure that none of my employees never did anything like that. Mistakes sometimes happen in a salon, but things like this are unacceptable.

Honestly, I have a hair cut phobia. Before my current stylist, I pretty much cried every time I got my hair cut, but would be happy by the second week. I still get a little freaked out right after a cut, but I know now that I will like it in another week. I'm weird, I know.

I had to envision this one! i'm a hairstylist! for 25 yrs, and that i've got seen and had to restoration my share of different stylists failures...to the lady whos hair grew to become into frosted and it went undesirable simply by getting it accomplished too quickly after ur infant grew to become into born, no longer! the bleach grew to become into too reliable, and under warmth purely melted ur hair, stylist errors... if u have a foul experience, return or call the single that did it and ***** yet i does not advise permitting them to do it returned! in the event that they screwed up the 1st time wut makes u think of they might restoration it?? u would would desire to pay somebody else better cuz for me corrective colour amenities are extra difficult to handle, yet getting it maximum appropriate is what concerns the main. a reliable hairstylist provides you with a unfastened consultation and choose what's the suited answer. for my section, undesirable haircuts are no longer any excuse in our industry, if u cant shrink u in the incorrect biz!!

YES! I had a lady who cut 5 inches off only one side of my head right in front of my face, And I just went in for a trim. Worst of all it was an hour before a job interview. It was horrible.

No offense to asians or vietnamese, but i usually think they know how to do hair and nails because you see them everywhere in salons.
Well i told him to trim my LONG *** HAIR, yeh he cut like 3 inches off! Then i thought oh its just hair it will grow back. While I am here i will have the other lady put highlights in my hair.
I picked out a color and showed her what i wanted my hair to look like. I have bleach in my hair but not a platinum color. I chose reddish brown (auburn highlights and blonde) well the blonde turned out ok, but the auburn highlights turned PURPLE!! i was so horrified, but i didnt want to hurt the lady's feelings so i paid them and went home. I cried pretty much the whole night cuz it was horrid looking.
I decided to go back to have her fix it. I said please i want auburn colored highlights in my hair do what you got to do to make it that color. Well she does my hair again and NOW IT IS PINK HIGHLIGHT!!!!! I am like OMFG! where did you get your frickin license so i said i wanted all my money back.
I looked like some wannabe kid trying to look like a rockstar. I cried then too, but i went to another salon and had them do it right.
I swear not all chinese, vietnamese, asian, or japanese know how to work in a salon even if you see them in like every salon.

No. But I screwed up my own hair when I was 16. I tried cutting it and had to make it shorter and shorter to make it even. It got soo short I woke my mom up to fix it right then (late at night). I was so sad i wrote a poem about it.

Yes! If it thats bad take some pictures send it to the manager and threaten to sue, they should at least reimburse you for the cut. Last resorts, buy a nice hat!

Luckily that has never happened to me! My mom is a hairdresser and she always cuts, styles, and dyes my hair! She's so good at it that I couldn't think of anyone else handling my hair! Besides she does it for free! Lucky ME!
