There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of great human beings out there. They are the Mums who feed, clothe and love their families, they are the carers who support less able friends or relatives, they are the doctors and nurses who spend their lifetimes working to care for us and keep us healthy, they are our school teachers who do their very best to educate our young people, they are our policemen and women who strive to keep our streets safe.... the list goes on - I bet everyone knows a great person.

The media has done an almighty job of changing our perception of what and who is great. Great is not a perfect suntan, even teeth or glossy hair, great is not stinking rich, stylish clothes or a nice singing voice, great is not celebrity.

Great is when a normal everyday person goes out of their way to help, when a normal everyday person tries to help a fellow human - just because they can - not for reward or recognition - just because it's the right thing to do.

Can we applaud all those hard working Mums, Dads, nurses, doctors, teachers, police, paramedics, lollpop men and women and everyone else that contributes to our society in a positive way.

More should be done to encourage positive social behaviour and caring attitudes and less notice should be taken of the label on the back of a pair of jeans or a nice white smile.

In this age of human maturity, there is no more great individual men. Nobody can claim or can be admired as the greatest man; that is why the Time magazine ceases to choose the individual man of the year.
It is the time of the great HUMANITY.
All developed brains will work together in unity to establish the Golden Age on this long-suffering planet.

Other than the only perfect human being, Jesus Christ, I think of Joseph Smith as the greatest. He did more for the salvation of mankind than any other person who has lived or will live on the earth, save Jesus Christ himself.
I truly truly love Joseph Smith and cannot wait to meet him and thank him for all he did someday in the eternities.
