Straighten, clips, and/or headbands. I have really curly hair and often cut it too short but you wouldn't know that I did it by accident. I'd style it with product until it is at a more desirable length. Being as you are only 14 you might not have control over what you buy and how much you spend on product. So I would go curly by buying a curling moose and place your hair in funky barettes. Short wavy/curly hair is really cute! play it off!

You should probably buy some different hair products to see if that helps the situation. If you really can't manage it, go back to the salon and ask that they show you how to fix it and what products to use. If you didn't like how they fixed it at the salon, then ask them if there is any way to improve it now b/c you can't handle it. Its your hair and your dilemma to fix it every day, so a stylist shouldn't be upset that you need help. That's their job. They want to make you happy so you come back and recommend them. Good luck.
One other thing, I never like my hair the first week its cut. It takes another week for it to grow a little, and then I remember why I like it, so maybe that will work for you.

Your age has nothing to do with your question.
I also have poofy, thick hair so I know what you're going through. Use hair gel and smoothing agents, and invest in a couple hair bands to wear it back. Bands that frame your entire face and sit behind the ears.

Ok. If you have hair pins you can pin your hair in 'n nice style that will go with every thing. Your face, cloths and whatever you wearing. I had a friend with the same problem & I helped her. She liked it so much that she never grew her hair long again. So try it & see if it will work for you. Remeber, if you have thick hair you probably need style spray just to keep your hair in the style that you want.

Okay...this may sound really weird but if your hair is straight, get some mousse or gel and while it is wet scrunch it! When you are done scrunching it, put it in two short ponytails. This is a really cute hairstyle! The shorter the hair the better it looks with this style! Please try it!!! I promise you will like it!

If you totally hate your haircut, you could always go back to where you cut it and ask them to help you re-style it. They should allow you to do this, if not try another salon and ask them to fix it there. I had the same problem a year ago when i was 13, and i went to a different salon and they fixed it to where it looked ok.
Good luck, and if none of this works, don't worry! Its only hair!

Try using a stiff gel to slick it down, maybe a barette or pin to pin it back from your face a bit if there's enough to do that.
You could also try a different stylist, if you see a woman with short hair that looks really good, ask her who cuts it for her.
Take vitamins, do scalp massage, it will grow out soon!

If you can afford to, you can get extentions. But if not, wig is your only other choice to making you hair look longer. Your other option is to just play it cool and wait until your hair grows back. Sorry i know this sounds careless since i have never been in your situation. But i hope you figure out the best desicion to make yourself happy.

Wait it out. It's the only true solution. We have all been there. Might want to use gel or mousse to smooth it down, straighten it; wear a baseball cap? Oh, there are options. By March it will be better.
