Its like an iron on two sides and you put your hair in the middle of it. Then you press it and push it down, and it straightens your hair just like and iron straightens clothes. Its called a hair straightener.

A couple of ways. You can put a relaxer or perm in it to straighten it. It will remain in that state for at least 2 1/2 mos. In other words, the hair can get wet and it will remain straight. You can also do it with a pressing comb. However, this requires someone that's skilled and even then, humidity can take its toll, ala James Brown.

You use a flat iron (found at any discount store, Wal Mart, K Mart, Meijer, etc...). It is the opposite of a curling iron. Instead of being a round, heated barrel it has 2 flat, heated ceramic panels. Start at your roots and work your way down. Most come with different heat settings and directions on how to find your heat settings. Your heat settings are based on your hair type. Helps to use a heat protector(I like the one by Aussie) to help from burning your hair. I would recommend getting a flat iron that can be used on wet hair(found at Wal Mart). This eliminates the need to blow dry your hair before straightening it.

Well you see... There are these magical things called "straighteners" or "flat irons" and they are used to manage your hair and keep it nice and smooth and straight. I do not know how anyone could live without one!
There are different brands and types that range in prices from as low as $19.99 to $300+ !
Of course, the more expensive flat iron will do wonders for your hair. Soooo I suggest you buy one! You can generally find them where ever they sell hair products (salons) or Wal-marts even!

it means to make your hair not all "puffy" and you just have to take bunches of your hair at a time and you just put your hair in it at the top and bring the straightener down with your hair in it so it isnt all "puffy"

when people talk about "straightening" hair they mean to actually make it straight instead of curly, wavy, or whatever. usually straightening irons work and are sold where other hair products are sold. you normally heat up the iron (it looks like a crimper) and run it through your heair. perms also work.

the tool is like tongs but on the tongs part are 2 ceramic plates that heat up that are like 5 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. you clamp your hair in between and then slide down it to straighten it
