No idea. Possibly but couldn't swear to it, just filling time trying to think of a worthy answer to write... Sorry, no.

A better buy? I don't think you can determine it that simply. The only real way to measure this is, which product costs less over the time you use it. Cars are a depreciating asset, period. A Japanese car well may hold up longer than a Ford, but if you pay a great deal more, then it may not be worth it. If you are comparing a same price car with a similar factory warranty, then yes lean Japanese, but every Japanese dealer still has a service bay and all cars break no matter where there made.

Yeah they are, better built for durability, Ford cars are definitely inferior, especially with corrosion. I personally would never buy another ford every again. If it is used cars you looking for, then Jap imports are the best buy, cos usually they are fully loaded.

Japanese cars are generally thought of as the most reliable cars, but not necessarily the cheapest to maintain. To put it another way Ford's may go wrong more often, but parts will be cheaper. That doesn't really say which are better - I'd say japs for their repution and resale value.

I thought your answers needed some balance. I had a Ford Taurus that I finally donated (still running) with over 180,000 miles on it (even the AC worked). I have junked 2 Japanese cars with less than 100,000 miles. I currently own a Korean car and a Chevy - would have no qualms about buying another Ford if it was the size I wanted, got the MPG I need and had the accessories that I want without having to wait (meaning - off the floor).

It depends, on where you are in the world, what models you are considering, and what features and characteristic of the car are important to you.

The latest European Ford models are generally better to drive than their Japanese competitors, and those built in the Saarlouis plant (Focus, C-Max) may even be more reliable. However, they do tend to have a slightly harsh ride (a symptom of making them handle so well), and those built in Spain (Ka, some Fiestas) may be less reliable than Toyotas or Hondas.
A Toyota or Honda may also retain slightly more value when you come to resell it.

Andrew P: there are various Chevys that could make that declare! your total argument is ridiculously uneducated! Lol. American autos have decrease resale fee than eastern autos with the aid of fact they are used as condominium autos. this is the only reason. And to respond to this question, American autos and eastern autos are on a similar web site as we talk. And no, Ford and Chevy are no longer eastern companies like some fool pronounced. base line is once you purchase a Honda/Toyota, you're helping yet another usa's financial device, with the aid of fact the revenue from that sale bypass back to Japan. once you purchase an American motor vehicle, the revenue stay in this usa.

jap cars are newer technology, more reliable, and better resale value and can olny be matched by german stuff for build quality. A ford cannot compare. Fords are design for demanufacture.. that means their components are designed to fail so as not to manufacture themselves out of business. Fords are cheap nasty american products.

Not always. Ford owns a large percentage of Mazda, and some
Fords are just Mazdas with a different badge.

A Toyota will run till the body falls off. I have 2 Tacomas with 200k on each of them. I havent had to replace many parts and I beat the thing offroad all the time.
