If a girlscout came to your door would you buy cookies from her? I need to know what my daughters chances are of selling any.

Absolutely! We love G.S. cookies & look forward to sale time every year. Also, I try to buy something from any kids who come to my door if they are selling things for school, athletic, Scouts, etc. It's good to support kids in such endeavors.

I think this is an excellent question to be honest. These days, GSC seem to be available everywhere. One troop sets up in the parking lot of a local strip mall and I can just drive up and buy what I want...or I have co-workers who bring the forms into work. To be honest, the only way that I would buy from a girl scout at my door is if she was the first to get to me...since I do not know who at work will be selling cookies, I will not rely on them (there was one year when no one approached me, so I just did the parking lot method mentioned above). So my advice is IF you are going door-to-door, go with her, and do it soon after she is asked to sell them. Don't wait a week or two...by that time I would think most people will have already made their orders.

Aw yes of course, they are so cute. Go to a neighborhood that is nice where people have money. Or where a lot of older people live. Whenever I see girlscouts in front of the grocery store I always buy. Try and see if you can do that.

Yeah kids are tough to resist, and girl scouts are so cute. I would feel like a troll if I just said 'no' and shut the door.

They get me every year in front of the supermarket. I have to walk a big circle to escape.

The only problem I have with girl scout cookies is that I know very little of the money is used for causes- it's more of a profit thing these days.

I would buy cookies from a Girl Scout for three reasons. Firstly, they're wonderful cookies, especially the chocolate mints. Secondly, cute kids are hard to resist, and I think it's good for them to get out themselves and earn money for worthy causes. And finally (this one is apropos for this section), the Girl Scouts of America, unlike the Boy Scouts, do not discriminate against non-religious and non-heterosexual children.

Yes!!
Girl scouts are very good business little ladies..much better than boys. Just remember that they should never walk alone, they should never enter a home...remain at the doorway and do business on the doorsteps, selling cookies after dark is a no no. Good luck!

Probably not, because it's too dangerous. If nobody bought from them at the door, then the scouting organization would have to use their brains, and show that they "really" care about the girls by finding a safer way to raise money. Little girls should not be going door to door at the houses of strangers for any reason. This is a crazy world with a lot of sickos in it.

Yes

Whether you live in an apartment complex or housing development your daughter should do well. She has 3 assets in her favor, reputation with national acceptance, a positive history or track record and they are good cookies.

Because of the world today you might want to escort her or have her buddy up with another girl scout and divide the sales between them.

Good luck!
