Thats a very good question. Of course it would depend on several factors. One being what breed or what genetic genes it has. Some have exceded the unusal twenty year span. Others may have expendency of eight to fifteen years. The secound factor is its invironment. Is it an outside cat? Did it spend its whole life inside? Was it a lone cat? These are just some parts of the equasioin. Over all speaking, its been my expierence, that outside (ferrel) cats that fend for themselves live only five to seven years, while most pampered babies live twelve to eighteen years. Only a guessimate.

Cats oldest ages vary. Most become old and weak around 14 or 15. Most veterinarians can prolong the life of cats until about ages 17 and I've known someone with a 25 year old cat. Depends on his health, and if you want to spend a lot of money on him as your cat grows older. They tend to develop kidney and digestive problems as they age. Good Luck! (My fur-baby died at age 14)

i had an indoor/outdoor cat that lived to 17...she probably would have lived longer but she was going blind and you could tell she was getting sick so we put her down so she didn't have to suffer...and i have a 10 year old cat that used to be an indoor/outdoor cat but is now strictly indoors and she's as healthy and active as a cat half her age.

it depends. is your cat an indoor cat or an outdoor cat? if you want your cat to live longer, keep it indoors. it is MUCH safer. indoor cats can live 20+ years. outdoor cats will usually live from about 10-15 years.
