I think it's happened to all of us at some point in our youths.
What was the reason mommy/daddy/aunty/grandma/etc. forced you to get a new look?
Thought it'd look cute?

As a child my grandma always cut my hair in a pixie when I visited her, my mom hated it and I always wanted long hair. As soon as I was old enough to throw a really violent take-me-seriously type of tantrum about haircuts, I got my way, grew my hair long and have had very long hair ever since.
I don't know what Grandma was thinking, probably thought I needed a haircut and that it looked cute.

I was never forced to get a cut/style that I didn't like. My family always let me do what I wanted with my hair. Even when I dyed my hair crazy colors like pink and blue. I plan on giving my future chiildren the same freedom.

They thought that my hair was too long when really, it was at the perfect length; just like the rest of the kids at my school.
My parents thought it looked cute, but I didn't. I liked my "long" hair before it was cut.
It wasn't a punishment, they just thought that my hair was too long because they were used to having short hair.

No, all my parents told me is that if I want my hair long, then I can as long as I keep it brushed out and kept out of my face. But if I would like it cut in some special way, then I could. I kept my hair long and still do.

I grew my bangs out and I had to get my hair cut REALLY short
I HATED IT
I'm keeping my hair this way for a long time now
P.S. It was no punishment

Omg i am a girl and my mom made me cut my hair really short and then my grandma cut it even sorter in the summer it was horrible

My mother forced me to wear my long, blonde hair in a pony tail instead of hanging straight down like I wanted it. To this day, I hate pony tails.

I had my cut 2 my neck my mother didnt let me have longer cause I always cried when she was brushing it... and I didnt like 2 wash it...
I hated it... but it wasnt punishment only for my only good and so we could avoid argumentation every day...

OMG when i was like 8 my mother told the hair dresser to cut my hair chin length. i look horrid and i mean horrid with hair shorter then my shoulders! i hated her till my hair reached half way down my back again ( where it was be for she made me cut it).
