i like this guy, & i think he might like me back, but it's hard to read him. when it's the whole group hanging out, he's always been kinda mean to me for no reason. but then a couple weeks ago i was hanging out with JUST him & two of our friends who are dating. this was the first time i had ever really hung out with him alone, & he acted SO different. first he gave me his jacket to wear cuz he saw i was cold. then we went to the park & i climbed a tree & he climbed up & sat next to me...then i ran to the other side of the park & he followed me...then the 4 of us climbed up onto the roof of the pavilion at the park, the other two eventually climbed down but he stayed up there with me. then we decided to leave & he wanted to have a piggyback race, so he told me to get on his back & we did. then we all drove to this cliff above the city & he told me to look at the view upside down, so we did that together. that night was so great. but why is he acting like this? does it mean he likes me?

Perhaps he is trying to "show off" in front of the guys. My advice would be this: 1) try to spend more time in smaller groups, and see if this continues. 2) after some time, just ask him what he feels or tell him what you feel. Honestly, ladies, this is not a bad thing. Some guys really don't like the hard to get angle. Some of us like a direct approach. If you tell him you like him, he knows where you stand, and he can start searching his heart. Or, an even better way, ask him why he treats you "mean" in groups. You will learn something about this man you like, which is always a good thing. Maybe he isnt trying to be mean, but it just comes across that way when he is in a group. Yes he does like you. With the whole group he is just acting tough. You might let him know if he appears mean when with the whole group that you don't like it. He has a bit of growing up to do and if you let him know that you don't like his meaner behaviour that will be part of the process. You can also bite back a little, but not too much or you might frighten him away.

Don't see him with the whole group hanging around. He is very self conscious, wants to be one of the guys, but he also likes you. So, see him one-on-one for the time being. Him giving you his jacket because he saw you were cold is what is referred to in French as tres galant (very gallant). Classy guy.

I would be very cautious with a person treating me mean when in a group.. as this probably stems from his home life.. meaning he was probably treated the same way .
Ask him why he treats you in that manner.. in a group? then showing more friendship when alone or with only another couple
Actually the only to find out the answer to your question is ask the who is person doing it... :)

life is but a jigsaw young lady ,,,,it takes many pieces to make a picyture ,,so all i can say is you need lots of good days with this guy not just one,,,
it sounds to me he want the world to see him differntly from what lies on the inside
make sure her is not trying to impress you for physical reasons

He acts like that when he is with your freinds to try to cool but when he is witha small group with you he acts nicer. I think he likes you but is nervous around a group with you.

probably hes sorta mean cus he doesnt wanna seem like he likes you in front of evryone, cus hell get made fun of.
