He may be a little scared depending on jis personality. Just sit with him on ur lap for a little while in a quiet room. And show him where his bed, food and water are. He will explore his new home in his own time.

A maltese puppy will be like any other puppy! You should try reading up on the breed to find out their general characteristics. My altese x Shih Tzu strolled right into my house the first day and started whacking the cat (who was twice his size). The first time my greyhound came inside though, she stood in the middle of the living room for about half the day just too petrified to move!

For the first couple of days he may miss his mom and littermates but he will adjust. Just give him lots of love and show him that he can trust you. Crate train him so he has the security of a den. Give him some (not too many) puppy treats. Play with him, cuddle him and he will be fine.
