If you are only wearing the normal amount of make up and it is fda approved then don't worry about it.
Don't let it get into a jar of cream.

Makeup and lotion on your face shouldn't hurt your pet. Large quantities of any of those things would be harmful and you should call your vet if that happens, but a couple of face kisses when you're wearing make-up shouldn't hurt the animal. My cat seems to like the taste of my hand lotion and it hasn't hurt her (though I don't really let her bathe my hands--she just gets in a few licks before I pull away from her).

I doubt that such a small amount would be harmful, unless they are doing it non stop, 24-7, in which case you and your pet have some other issues.

My mother in law's little dog who is so silly, she must like the smell or taste of eyeshadow or mascara cause when she jumps up on my lap to greet me that's the first thing she does is smell my eyelids. What a kook.

Your dog/cat will have an upset stomach and possibly vomit.

Hope this helps!

P.S. I'm very interested in animals and I picked this up while reading.
