First let me tell you that I own a pest control company and what I will recommend is the complete treatment that should help you completely get rid of the fleas.
You must treat your home and yard. The best products to do this would include not only a killing agent, but also a sterilization agent. Inside, I would use Ultracide, if you can get it. (Many on line sites sell it.) Follow the instructions on the label! Vacuum very frequently. Throw out the vacuum bag or dump the catch container after every vacuuming. You can never vacuum too much! DO NOT STEAM CLEAN YOUR RUGS! This can hatch flea eggs and make your problem worse. The flea larva and eggs are in your carpet, that is where you have to focus your treatment! If you can’t find the Ultracide, e-mail me and I will give you a list of other products you can use that will help.
Outside I would use Demon WP mixed with Gentrol or Nylar, carefully following label instructions. Treat the entire yard, paying special attention to under bushes and low hanging branches. Most of these products can be bought at any Do-It-Yourself Pest Control company either on line or in a store. You must treat outside too, because the fleas are still out there, and when you walk from the outside to the inside, they can just on you and reinfest!
Treating your yard is just as important as treating the house!

Go to the pet store, buy some Advantage and put it on your legs. Repeat weekly. Wait a couple months and the fleas should be gone.
If that doesn't appeal, you can treat areas where fleas are likely to hide with an IGR (insect growth regulator) containing spray, then sprinkle diatomaceous earth when it dries. Either that or bleach, steam clean, or freeze every surface in your home.
If you get another pet, keep their flea treatment up to date and you won't have this problem.

We have had the same problem. We are just resolving it. The whole house was infested and especially one bedroom. If we walked in, large fleas covered our legs. They were everywhere and we are very allergic to the bites.
Two answers: Diatomaceous Earth (from your plant nursery), follow the instructions, and Bayer product (blue gallon container) for bugs (is is residual and effective for 9 mos.)
Slowly but surely, the fleas are disappearing.... Good Luck.

I surely have had fleas interior the homestead, with out them being on animals or perhaps that grew to become into great perplexing to do away with them. We had to get the carpet dirt for fleas (Bob Martin too i think of) and flea killer spray (that wasn't risky to animals) and spray everywhere in the homestead for that. As for the cats, the flea killer could be working however the undertaking with fleas is they hatch a great number of eggs that unhatch after each and every week or so as that they shop coming back. you're able to desire to apply the dirt and hover plenty. additionally try bathing the cats in flea killer shampoo. i understand the cats won't like that however the fleas will drown. something with tea tree, limonene or linalool repels and stuns the fleas so cleansing the carpet with any cleaners with which will additionally help. a great number of bathe gels and that have them in too so as which will shop the fleas of you besides. it is in uncomplicated terms a rely of preserving hoovering i'm afraid nonetheless.Get the extremely some flea carpet dirt because it extremely is, extremely stable as we would desire to work out that killing them promptly. it is probable obtrusive yet confirm you're emptying the hoover afterwards aswell because of the fact any eggs would desire to nevertheless hatch from that. stable success, desire you do no longer would desire to do away with your cats! those issues merely take place, we've been given fleas interior the homestead and we don't very own cats or canine so attempt to no longer blame them too plenty.

if you dont have small kids or any other animals then go with some sprays and bombs.
If you do (or like to do things naturally) put some borax on your carpet and in your yard. Vacuum in three days
