I used sun in and it turned my hair yellowy orange. Is there anyway, (like home remedies) that will get rid of it. I have this theory that it will sorta get better if i dont go in the sun. Oh yeah, it totally dried my hair!

Oh no!! That product needs to be taken off the market! Its almost straight peroxide. There is no home remedy to fix what's been done to your hair for the color, but you can get your hair healthy enough to stand to be re-colored to your natural color. I recommend that you start taking prenatal vitamins to help your hair from the inside. You can purchase them at Walmart in the vitamin aisle, and even though it sounds funny, they are the best. Next, start using both Infusium leave in treatment every day after washing it, hot oil treatments twice a week, and not using any hair dryers, curling irons, or hot rollers on it for at least 2-4 months. After about 6-8 weeks your hair should be healthy enough to re-color, but I'd keep up with the treatments until all the damage is repaired.

ok so I am a medical student and an ex-hairdresser. Pre-natal vitamins are not a good idea. You could actually cause yourself to get calcium deposits and all sorts of other problems because your body will not know what to do with all of the vitams that you would be excessing by taking a prenatal. The only vitamin that will really help you here would be protien and you need to be really careful about taking any kind of protien vitamin since it can have negative affects on your heart if you take too much. The molecule is also probably too large to even make too much of a difference on your hair unless you are a very fit person.
As far as your hair goes. There is a product called Nioxin that is excellent for over processed hair, but it is pricey. If you are looking for something in a lower price range (which it sounds like you must be since you are looking for home remedies) then try to just do some kind of a deep conditioner. I really like Redken's so soft. It is a topical treatment for you hair, so you will not need to injest anything, and it will make your hair stronger from the inside out. It also is sold at most salons, Redken is very popular. Once your hair is feeling better (less dry), go to the salon and have a professional color it for you. Trust me the money is worth it. Isnt it better to have it done once right then have to go through all of this to fix it when it gets messed up by "home remedies." Just a suggestion. Hope that helped
ps. dont go in the sun. Protect your hair from the sun...

Well, first of all, you can try a malibu treatment. Also the reason your hair turned yellowy orange is because you must be a brunette(I am too) and your hair needs to lift a high amount of color to turn you to a blonde. Your hair will require if you are a brunette at least 4-6 levels of lift. I'm sure you know what a color wheel looks like. Whatever color is opposite of your yellow orange will tone down that color to a more neutral stage. You can go to a salon and ask them to use a toner, but try the malibu first. Also, use salon professional products. NO INFUSIUM. Also cholestrol that african americans use is a very good conditioner. However, I use Vavoom or Biolage products. I recommend using Biolage hydrating shampoo and conditioner. Works well. Get the conditioning balm.
also , if you get a stylist to do a toner on you, ask them if its semipermanent or demipermanent. That is what they should be using to do a toner on your hair. It will not do any further damage to your hair. I see that someone told you, to use the hot oil treatments. I highly don't recommend this. Reason being, is that oil and water simply do not mix and this will definitely coat your hair rather than repairing it.

dye it a soft light brown. AND!! Go to fantastic sams and purchase their shampoo and conditioner. You also need an extra leave in conditioner.. like infusium... I recommend FS. Because i use it and my hair is still intact because of it.. good luck and stay away from sun in.. next time!
