i am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and that doctor of your should have given them to you in the first place. Do you realise what can happen if it isn't treated, well it will spread to your brain and you can end up with meningitis, there are 2 types one you catch and one caused by your problem. in the meantime and for an emergency use,go and get some garlic oil capsules take one a day (1000mgs) and squeeze a drop into your ear. garlic is the worlds strongest antibiotic. But you need a fast acting one so go back to the Dr NOW
The reason you still feel ill is because you have an infection and it will get worse. The Dr has only treated your symptoms not the cause

The sickness and feeling dizzy is the same symptom as for sea sickness. The infection that you have is upsetting your balance mechanism in the inner ear which is exactly what happens when you have sea sickness. So, you are getting those same feelings. When the medicine takes effect then you will feel a lot better. Best of luck.

Ear infections commonly take up to a week to resolve. Studies have shown antibiotics to help minimally, but if it continues to trouble you maybe they are worth a shot.

Rest up
Drink plenty of fluids
Take some paracetamol (acetaminophen) for the malaise and fever

generally, i think you need to be on antibiotics for 24-36 hours before you start to feel better. take tylenol to reduce your fever and you will feel better... good luck... make sure you take the full course of antibiotics, even when you begin to feel better, you still need them.
