i buy iams for small breeds. that is what my vet recommended and my dog loves it.

My vet recommended Royal Canin Mini Chihuahua 28. My Chihuahuas love it! I think they have food for Chihuahua Puppies and Chihuahua Adults.

most any type of dog food made for small dog breeds. you want something made for his little mouth to eat. just remember, once you start him on a type of food, don't change it. they do have sensitive little tummys and unless you want to be cleaning up some nastey messes, stick with one food. Also, with changing over a type of food, you want to do it slowly, so you don't have the BAD messes to clean. Add small amounts of the new food to the old food gradually until it's all new food. good luck!

*sigh* innova.....and just about any holistic dog food. Make sure the first 5 ingredients are meat. No by products.

My chuhuahua eats Purina, and she's never had any problems! But it's always best to ask your vet.

I used purina puppy chow for my pup it is good when then pups but when they get older purina is not the best i use benifuls now and it is great...
