We never keep meat in the freezer for over a year. Depends on the quality and temperature of the freezer, but it'll last months (or until you get freezer burn)

If you have a vacuum sealer you can freeze it for 2-3 years (As long as it properly seals) If you do not have a sealer keep in it's origional package and wrap again in plastic wrap and foil. You can keep it for 6 months to 1 year.

Decades. This is a true story. During the Soviet Union, convicts were digging a trench for a pipline in the permafrost in Siberia. They found a 10,000 year old carcass of a wooly mammoth. The meat was still fresh, they were hungry, so they ate it.
