I have bad instant karma. While I can't prove the things that have happened are a result of bad things I've done, they sure feel that way to me.

Plus I've noticed a correspondence between saying something casually and flippantly and having that very same thing happen. So any time I make a statement like "Wow, I sure am happy!" I always make sure to add "And I understand that this is temporary and it was not meant as a challenge to the PTB, so please don't send an exploding toilet flying at me, amen."

Completely stupid I know. But there you go.

I don't worry, and I only adhere to the superstitions that are beneficial to me, like the one where if you see a penny you pick it up and all that day you will have good luck. Those are the cute ones and I don't really worry about it. I know people who are very superstitious and it can really get in the way of their day. It's funny to me.

The only people who seem to worry are the religious fanatics who lurk around Y!A

I presume that's why they seem to feel the need to 'prove' that either scientific theories are, well, theoretical or that science is a 'belief' and so less valid that their own beliefs which are older!

The rest of us remain unperturbed!

Yeah, who's worrying? Superstitsion are just plain dumb, but can be sometimes entertaining if a group of idiots try not to step on cracks and the first who does gets punched in the face.

Why do we worry????

Because people led by ignorant superstitions are getting more and more power over everyone else!

Can anyone really listen to a US president say they invaded a country unprovoked to remove a leader they'd put there themselves because GOD told him to - and NOT be worried?????

I am not in the least bit worried. I am 100% certain that most souls cross over and religion has nothing to do with it.

well i think old habits die hard--someone instilled a line of myths in my mind, as it was instilled before them, right back to a time where people actually believed these things.

i'm not worried (i don't believe in any kind of supernatural anything) but sometimes i do wince when a black cat walks in front of me, or i break a mirror.

We worry because we want our own way,and keep demanding that things turn around to what we what, even if it's not in our own best interest.
