I think Hallmark makes a tassel case that you can put the tassel from your graduation cap in. I got one for my eighth grade graduation, and it's hanging on my wall right now. I couldn't find one on the Internet, so you might have to check in a Hallmark store. A US mint set from the graduation year isn't a bad idea either.

they all want the same thing. An ipod.
or... a new, cool cell phone. One with a great camera that plays games, and possibly a keyboard.
Or- if they already have an ipod, and you don't want to spend that much money- you can get them a iTunes gift card, so that at least some of the music that they download onto it will be legal.

Depends on the graduate's style. You can give them flowers or jewelry is nice too. You can also give them movie tickets. You can't go wrong with that.
