I like my friend, and she broke up with her boyfriend about two weeks ago because she doesn't love him anymore, she says. They're still friends. and I really like her, but I don't know whether to actually do anything about it, because they went out for over a year, and I don't want to be rebound and I don't want to push her into things too soon, before she's ready. Because while she may not love him anymore, she may not be ready for another relationship. Maybe I should just tell her that I like her and that when she's ready I'm here? Cause I REALLY like her, and it SEEMS like she likes me, but I'm not sure, I'm not too good at this sort of thing. I am a lesbian, and she is bisexual, and she has had previous girlfriends, so I know she actually likes girls and isn't a fake. Help? I suck at this stuff.

Alice, you already know these situations are difficult. I have no personal experience with bisexuals so all I can do is guess. Is the "rebound" situation the same for a person who is changing genders? I don't know. I agree that when you pick up someone on the rebound your new relationship may be doomed. But I also believe that straight or bi are still playing with relationships until sometime around 25 plus. That seems to be the age when the most stable relationships begin. So what...well, if your younger than 25, chances are pretty good that most relationships will begin, blossom and die within a few months. Not always. But when you're younger it's time to experiment, to discover, to explore. So, go for it. Who knows, it may work. Remember, it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

You need to give her some space but let her know you are there for her. Do little things with her like go out to the movies or have a girl night just so she can forget about the guy and then give her hint that you like her and she is a girl so i am sure she will pick them up and if not just tell her!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!

How old are you?

Go slowly, and by slowly, I mean months and months. She needs recovery time. You be open to all potential relationships. Be friends. Do friend things. No sex for the time being. If it is meant to happen, it will happen.

Be the shoulder for her to cry on! Offer to sleep over and have a "girl night" where you can put on pajamas and paint toe nails and stuff. When you're under the covers...with your pajamas...plant a kiss on her lips and see if she responds.

she would be able to the two like him, be jealous that shes no longer in a relationship, or be jealous that hes stealing you removed from her. likely she likes him. ask her for one good reason as to why you should (no longer asserting you will) spoil up with him. if she continuously makes use of those snide comments then tell her that those arent genuine motives & that if she has a issue with your relationship with him then she ought to easily shop it to herself with the aid of fact she has no genuine to be sure who you should be with.
